First off, I’m not liking the new SYTYCD from the schedules to Adam as a permanent judge to no public voting for the 1st 2 shows to the series of injuries. It’s a sign they should go back to Summer TV. For me, they started really messy. I didn’t even want to listen to the judges anymore.
Best Routines of the Night
Ashleigh & Jakob (Broadway) – Flawless. That last drop from Jakob was amazing. Jakob, I love you. I don’t know why but he entices me.
I was sad that the Billy-Jakob showdown didn’t happen though. Ashleigh is definitely growing on me.
Bianca & Victor (Contemporary) – I love Travis Wall. It’s a story about being invisible to someone you love. Story of my life. Go Victor, there’s nothing Smalley about you! Sorry, couldn’t resist. Bianca also gave it her all. I like her the best among the tappers.
Ariana & Peter (Hip Hop) – It’s a bit weak especially for Ariana. That attempted head slide from Peter was also tentative. The song and the feel of the dance is good though. See, I’m not listening to the judges.
Karen & Kevin (Cha-Cha) – I’m also not that type of guy but boy, it’s hard to focus on anything else but Karen. She just screams sexuality! Her hottie husband Matthew should be so proud. (Aww, I miss him.) Karen is just HOT HOT HOT! Here I appreciated Adam as a judge with his A-RU-GA gestures. Heh, ’cause that’s what I feel. Kevin, who’s Kevin? The only thing I didn’t like was the ‘unraveling pretzel’. Sara did it so much better!
Ellenore & Ryan (Jazz) – Ellenore is officially my favorite girl dancer this season. She just exploded in that performance. I love me some weird & quirky. Sonya Teyah love! Ryan didn’t do much except bare his more than chiseled body. :p
Kathryn & Legacy (Hip Hop) – Legacy is a force to be reckoned with in this season. Didn’t like him before because of his d-bag attitude. But now, he’s terrific! He is so strong with his movement and he is also able to infuse humor into it. Genius!
Mollee & Nathan (Disco) – What can I say? Disco is so dangerous! That move with Mollee’s feet wrapped around Nathan’s neck while swinging around is scary! As much as I don’t like Mollie, I felt she got into the dance more than Nathan did who looked a bit awkward.
Elimination
Most unfair bottom 4 ever! I hate not having any votes counted. Poor Brandon. He gave such a good solo since it’s unique and heartfelt and the way I would tackle John Mayer’s song is actually quite similar in parts. I’m so glad he can audition again next year. I hope he makes it.
